About me

My name is Gehan Jia, I also go by Nancy. I am currently a Master’s student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), studying Computer Science. I am expected to graduate in May 2026. I received a BS degree from UIUC in May 2024, my major was Math and Computer Science, and my minor was in Critical Film Production.

Currently, I am working in Professor Gagandeep Singh’s FOCAL Lab. I am working with Yasmin Sarita on Pointer Analysis, a discipline that involves abstract logical concepts intended for practical use. I am now working with a mixed pool of programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, and Soufflé. My goal is to improve the scalability and precision of existing techniques.

I am interested in further studies in Formal Methods and Verification. I am also passionate about video production and am looking to combine my computer science knowledge with this discipline.
